Abstract:

Ship's protest document accompanied by San Francisco Port Warden's Certificate for the ship Swallow, Capt. Baker, from New York, newly arrived with salt water damage to it's cargo. Both printed documents are filled out with elaborate details of the sea conditions causing damage, descriptions and inventory of the cargo, and methods of stowage.
